Oxmiq Labs and Andhra University have signed an MOU to establish the OXMIQ-AU Centre of Excellence in AI Systems.
Andhra University is turning 100 this year, and the Vice-President of India along with OXMIQ CEO Raja Koduri showed up to mark it. To help the school for the next hundred years Oxmiq Labs is teaming up with AU to make the OXMIQ-AU Centre of Excellence in AI Systems. The Centre will train students across six departments on GPU architecture, AI systems, and the silicon that powers modern compute. Live research projects. Real internships. Lab time on the same problems being solved in industry.
Vice-Chancellor G.P. Raja Sekhar said "The future of technology is determined by the research done in universities."
We agree.
The Centre will focus on four areas:
- AI systems research
- Certification programs in GPU and AI infrastructure
- Talent development for the semiconductor workforce
- Startup incubation
India is building AI infrastructure at gigawatt scale. The talent layer has to be built alongside it. The Oxmiq AU COE-AI will connect university research directly to companies designing silicon and the software stack.
Andhra University brings deep engineering heritage in Visakhapatnam, and we're looking forward to working with their students. Congratulations to Andhra University on 100 years. Honored to be part of what comes next.
